Local Information
Situated in the unspoilt village of Linton on Ouse, The Manor House stands in large gardens set back from the Main Street, with mature tree and lawns. There is a spacious rear stable yard car park and beyond are paddocks with sheep and hens, where you are welcome to wander.
Outside the house is a bus stop with a 2 hourly service into York. A few steps down the road opposite the village pub, are paths down to the river and Linton's river lock with a café bar. If you prefer to stretch your legs further, you can follow the river down to our sister village of Newton where you will find 2 lovely pubs and the entrance to Beningborough Hall (National Trust). There you can enter the magnificent house and gardens or for no charge walk through the parkland and back along the riverside.
